Spend more time enjoying the convention by not worrying about getting there!

We strongly encourage all convention attendees, even those living near Salt Lake City, to use convention transportation. Many of the convention venues have extremely limited parking, especially on weekdays. As part of our convention package with the Sheraton, all convention attendees may park free of charge and board convention transportation from there. The buses return to the hotel several times throughout the day, so you can still use convention transportation even if you can’t attend the full schedule of events. Other modes of transportation may also be available on your own.

Other Transportation

While we strongly recommend the purchase of our affordable transportation package to access convention venues, you may wish to utilize other transportation to explore the city or attend convention events on your schedule. We’ll publish a detailed guide with times, addresses and directions, etc. to attendees, but some basic information is available here for your convenience.

To the hotel (at corner of West Temple & 500 S (one-way WB))

From I-15 northbound, exit at 600 S (one-way EB), and proceed to West Temple. Turn left and proceed one block north. The hotel and parking lot will be on your left. Note: 500 S is a one-way west-bound street.

From I-15 southbound, exit at 400S, and proceed east to West Temple. Turn right, and proceed one block south. There is an entrance to the parking lot off West Temple on your right.

Other areas: If you are unfamiliar with Salt Lake City, we recommend using Google Maps or other similar navigation service. Affordable parking is available in the City Creek mall (several underground entrances). Metered parking is available throughout the city. Salt Lak City uses electronic meters with pay stations and mobile payment by app. Be sure to follow posted regulations as parking is strictly enforced!

Salt Lake offers its light rail service, Trax, free of charge within a portion of downtown. The hotel area and city center/Temple Square are included in this area. There are tap on/tap off stations which work with most mobile wallets on cell phones, and there are ticket machines at each station. If you tap on/off within the free zone, you will not be charged.

The Courthouse Station is a block northeast of the hotel. There are additional stations useful to convention attendees, including City Creek/City Center and Temple Square stations.

The green line Trax offers affordable service to Salt Lake International Airport.

For attendees further away, you can use Trax and FrontRunner (high speed rail to Provo and Ogden).

You can use Google Maps and switch your method to public transit to obtain schedules. Or, for maps, a trip planner, and more information, visit rideuta.com

Salt Lake is a bike-friendly city. GREENbike rentals are available throughout the city, with a station in front of the hotel. Riders pay a small fee and have unlimited rides for a period of time. Simply drop off the bike at a station near your destination, then pick up another when you’re ready for your next ride. For more information, view the hotel information page, or visit greenbikeslc.org

Many convention venues are located within a 10-block radius of the hotel. Additionally, there are myriad options for shopping and dining within walking distance of the hotel. The city is laid out on a grid system which originates from Temple Square. The weather is typically mild in June, and provides an excellent opportunity to explore the city on foot.
