The Salt Lake Chapter is thrilled to welcome the West Region back to Salt Lake City June 11-15. You’ll enjoy 23 concerts and recitals, great workshops and master classes, a banquet dinner, evening receptions, and much more. Our diverse artist roster includes Kimberly Marshall, Kenneth Udy, Jaebon Hwang, Pamela Decker, and Stephen Tharp. Richard Elliott and the Orchestra at Temple Square will present Alexandre Guilmant’s Symphony No. 2, and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir will perform in their renowned home venue. Take in a museum exhibit celebrating the Tabernacle Organ’s 150th anniversary.
Optional excursions to a carillon recital by Don Cook, and open console visits to three different M.L. Bigelow pipe organs are available. Stay at the Sheraton Salt Lake Hotel (with on-site dining) and take advantage of a walkable city and free light rail. An affordable bus transportation package is available for all convention venues. Use our exclusive airline discounts to SLC with Delta (NMP6G) and Alaska (ECMX309) airlines, including international travel.
There’s plenty of great pre-convention events, too. If you come a day early (Saturday June 10), attend Tabernacle Organist Clay Christiansen’s solo concert on the Tabernacle organ. Sunday morning, attend the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s “Music and the Spoken Word” broadcast. A variety of worship options are available within walking distance.
